Club Team

The Travel / Club Team is composed of three levels of competition. Tryouts at the beginning of the season (held in early September) determine who is able to play on the travel team. After that, performance is gauged through practice and games to determine what skill level / team players will fall into.

All teams practice at both the YMCA in Williamsport, PA (1 hour NE of State College) and just outside of State College (5 minutes SW of campus). The reason for this is to get in quality indoor rink time at Williamsport (one of the nicest in the league) as well as supplemental rink time at the State College rink which is an outdoor surface.

All three teams play in the ECRHA. The A and B team seasons consist of 3-4 preseason games, 18 regular season games, and then playoffs. The C team has 6 to 8 games which are considered exhibition. ECRHA events are held about every 2-3 weeks in various locations throughout the tri-state area. Typical locations for events (though it is always subject to change) are Williamsport, Feasterville (Philly area), Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Bridgewater NJ.

The C team also plays in the Williamsport, PA Collegiate level house-league where they will play 10 games plus playoffs per semester (20+ games). Games are typically held once a week, an hour or so before practice.

The Division 1 team (A Team) competes in the ECRHA and is the highest level of collegiate roller hockey in the US. The competition in the league is steep as players are up against the best other schools have to offer in terms of roller hockey ability.

The B Division team (B Team) also plays in the ECRHA and is a supplemental team to the A Team. The B team also provides the travel team with a way of developing talent by putting players into the same environment as the Div. 1 league, but at a slightly lower level of competition.
