Ment to post these earlier but here's some of the competiion from Nationals 2010. The rink in San Jose was amazing and the video crews were a nice touch. Here's what I was able to get online from the B team's run last season (many of whom are returning). We will be having 2 very competative teams this year with one goal in mind: to win national championships. If you're interested in doing that then come out to the information meeting we'll be having in the next few weeks.

Tryout dates for both the D1 and B club teams will be announced within the first two weeks of school. There will be a meeting for all returning and prospective players prior to tryouts with information about the team, coaching staff, cost, and time commitment. Keep a lookout for fliers on campus containing information about both the meeting and tryouts and keep an eye on the website as well.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact club president Greg Cohen (gmc5071@psu.edu). |

Use this to enroll in the league. You'll still need to pay before you're allowed on the rink. This information will only be used for league creation and scheduling and will be destroyed semester to semester. This is both for your protection and to remove confusion on our part so you will need to register each semester. |

PSU's B team won their first National Championship in team history and the first for the school. They had to knock off some familiar opponents in order to win their title. Last night was a revenge match-up in the semi-finals against Lindenwood University. Lindenwood has won every B division championship since it's creation 7 seasons ago. Penn State beat them 8-3, then moved on to a 6-2 win against University of Central Florida. Last night's game was highly attended as many people know PSU had what it took to knock off the champs. The crowd roared and the boards shook as other teams from around the country joined in with the "WE ARE...PENN STATE" chants. The building erupted as PSU scored an empty netter in the 3rd, the only goal of that period. Both games were against big opponents the team had faced last year. The outcome was obviously very different just one year removed from a 8-2 loss to Lindenwood in the National Championship game. Coach Bryan Ollendyke announced his retirement to the team prior to their playoff run and finishes on top with seniors Jason Bogert, Brian Reel, Jesse Patnetsky, and Eric Kleinberg. If you see any of the guys around, make sure to give them your best as they made history this weekend. |

Go to the IM Leagues page for the Fall '08 Rosters and Schedule (located at the bottom of the page under "Attachments"). All pertinent information regarding the IM Leagues can also be found on that page, so get in the habit of checking it every now and then. All teams will have their first game on either Wednesday, Sept. 24th or Thursday, Sept. 25th. Make sure to bring your $45 and filled-out participation contract to your first game to give to the referee (see IM Leagues page for details and link to the form). Also, if there are any goalies not marked as being a goalie on the rosters, please let us know ASAP (see the IM Leagues page for contact info). Teams 9 and 10 still need goalies! Team Standings and Player Stats will be added to the IM Leagues Page after all teams have had their first game. Thanks for your patience; see you guys at the rink! |

If you have already signed up for IMs and you intend to play GOALIE this year, please email me asap at kirkypsu@gmail.com just letting me know that, EVEN IF YOU ARE ALREADY ON A TEAM. This is obviously crucial to forming teams and we just realized we didn't include that in the sign up form. If you haven't signed up yet, go ahead and do so, there is now an option in the sign up form. |
